Camel & White

You can get the sweater here (comes in 3 colors)the booties 50% off here. white jeans on sale here, and similar t shirt on sale here

Each season I pick out a color or two to add to my wardrobe. This season I decided to add camel and grey. This sweater is the richest color and my favorite way to wear it, is with white. The stark differences appeal to my eyes. On this day I was wearing a white column so played around with some third pieces. These boots, I have shown you before and are by far my favorite pair due to how cute they are and how comfortable they feel. I can actually wear these boots for hours in comfort. A note about this sweater. I got it during the Nordstrom sale after seeing other bloggers wearing it. I liked the over sized, comfortable look and pretty color. It is very light weight and runs large. I am wearing a small which is my normal size and I wish I had gotten an extra small. I washed it on delicate and dried it on delicate and it came through just fine. I was hoping it would shrink but it didn't. This is a good sweater for everyday wear but not something that I expect to last for years.

Story of a Square Scarf

Cute summer scarf here, fun warmer scarf here, beautiful square scarf with tassels here, crazy pretty silk one here. jeans on sale here, similar white t on sale here, same necklace in gold and several stone colors here.

I'm getting excited for the fall season to arrive. I am dreaming about all my scarves and how I can use them to transition from one season to the next. Today, I am wearing a square scarf two ways, around my neck and around my waist. I love both looks! I decided to use a white column for the base of my outfit, added my most colorful square scarf and sandals that had just a pop of the color in the scarf. A neutral straw bag didn't detract from the outfit so I went with that. My mind is racing with ways to use my warmer scarves this fall and winter. Scarves can take the most basic outfit and make it stand out. If you want to update your wardrobe without spending a lot, scarves are the way to do it. How do you like to wear scarves?

In other news, I ran another 5K a couple of weeks ago. It was called the Huckleberry Trott and raised money for charity. I didn't think I was running competively but they tracked us as we came in and I ended up winning 1st place in my category. It was a beautiful day to be running in the mountains and I think everyone had a lot of fun! My next 5K is in September and I can't wait!
